At the European E-Learning Institute (EUEI), we are proud to be a partner in FAIR FASHION – a dynamic Erasmus+ project that aims to reimagine how sustainability, digital innovation, and inclusive entrepreneurship are taught in the fashion and textile sector.

FAIR FASHION is not just about trends – it’s about transformation. This forward-looking initiative brings together leading universities, creative hubs, and education innovators from across Europe to empower the next generation of fashion professionals with the skills, tools, and mindset to lead the industry toward a more ethical and resilient future.

Why it matters

Fashion is one of the most influential – and environmentally impactful – industries in the world. With growing awareness of issues like overproduction, waste, and labour inequality, there is an urgent need to equip students and educators with the competencies to challenge the status quo. FAIR FASHION directly supports this mission by embedding sustainability, digital literacy, and inclusive leadership into fashion education curricula.

What we’re doing

FAIR FASHION is developing a set of innovative, open-access resources to support fashion educators and students across higher education, vocational training, and adult learning contexts. These include:

  • A Digital Toolkit with recommended strategies and tools for teaching green and digital skills

  • A collection of real-world Case Studies spotlighting fashion businesses embracing sustainability and innovation

  • Interdisciplinary Bootcamps that provide immersive learning experiences for students

  • A Mentorship Programme linking students with women leaders in the fashion industry

  • Orientation Day Guidelines to help institutions introduce sustainability and digital topics in engaging ways

Our role at EUEI

As the project’s digital learning and communications lead, EUEI is responsible for creating and maintaining the FAIR FASHION website, developing the Digital Toolbox, and supporting outreach and dissemination activities. We bring our expertise in instructional design, e-learning tools, and ethical education to ensure that every output is practical, inclusive, and ready to use in diverse classrooms across Europe.

Join the movement

We believe that fashion can be a force for good – but only if education leads the way. Through FAIR FASHION, we’re helping build a future where every fashion student has the knowledge and tools to design with purpose, think critically, and act sustainably.
